Mote

Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

Mote doesn’t collect any personal data. There’s no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising.

Everything stays on your iPhone

Your focus history, settings, intentions and Pips are stored only on your device. Mote has no server to send them to. Deleting Mote deletes them.

The apps you choose

Apple’s Screen Time picker gives Mote private tokens for the apps and websites you choose, not a list of what’s installed. That selection never leaves your iPhone.

Purchases

Apple handles payments and subscriptions. Mote checks your membership with the App Store and never sees your payment details. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies to those.

Notifications, widgets and Siri

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Widgets and Live Activities show information from your device. When you use Siri or Shortcuts, Apple handles the request and Mote only receives the action, such as “start a 25-minute session”.

Crash reports

Mote has no crash-reporting or analytics tools of its own. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the app is.
